A siding project our team completed in New Bedford, MA - May 2022. Deep barn red lap siding wraps the cape, framed by white window casings, a white entry surround and frieze boards, with skylights set into the shed dormer above.
All three frames circle the same story-and-a-half cape on a mature lot. The steep front slope carries a shed dormer with two skylights, and a tall brick chimney runs up the gable end past the eave. Deep red lap siding meets white casings on the double-hungs, a white frieze under the rake and a white surround at the front door, which opens onto brick steps and a landing. In the wider shot a shingled rear wing steps down toward the driveway, and the siding continues around the corner past the chimney to the back of the house.
New lap siding was hung across the front and gable walls and carried around to the rear wing, with white casings, frieze and rake trim replaced at the same time. The head and side flashings were reworked where the chimney meets the wall, and downspouts were rerun down the gable corner to grade.

Products used: James Hardie, Andersen. The finish shown is Countrylane Red (closest manufacturer match). Permits, inspections and dumpster logistics were handled by us. Progress photos went to the homeowner as the job moved along.
