Plan on 8 to 10 weeks from signing to installation. Most of that is the manufacturer’s lead time: custom windows take 6 to 8 weeks to build, and we install within 2 to 3 weeks of delivery. The installation itself usually takes 1 to 2 days.
Most towns in Massachusetts require a building permit for this work. As a registered Home Improvement Contractor we file it for you, schedule the inspections and close the permit out with the town. In towns with online permitting, a complete application is usually approved within 2 weeks; towns that still take paper applications take 2 to 4 weeks. The City of Boston takes at least a month, so our dedicated permit runner files in person at City Hall, which speeds things up.
Every installation on a home the owner lives in comes with our 15-year workmanship warranty. It goes further than most: manufacturer warranties usually cover only the replacement material, and you pay someone to take out the defective product and install the new one. If a product we installed turns out to be defective, we do that work free of charge. The warranty can be transferred once, to the next owner if you sell the home, and it comes on top of the manufacturer’s own material warranty. Other jobs, such as repairs, carry the warranty term written in your contract.
