This siding project in Newburyport, MA was finished in January 2022. A gable-front colonial in charcoal blue lap siding with white window casings and a red door; the close-up shows the crisp white corner board detail and the siding's woodgrain texture.
A close side view runs along a long wall of dark lap siding to an entry with a molded, dentil-style door header and a pilastered surround; a lantern, a mailbox and a run of new downspout sit beside it. The detail shot centers one double-hung with grilles, framed by a built-up casing with a drip cap over the head and a projecting sill below. The wider photo shows the whole street elevation: a gabled dormer and a steep gable-end wall over an attached lower section, plus a full-lite storm door onto a brick courtyard.
The elevations were resided in dark lap over new casings and corner trim, with drip caps set above each window head. The crew rebuilt the entry surround and header, wrapped the dormer and gable rakes, and reset the downspouts and exterior fixtures once the courses were run.
