Leominster, MA - door installation completed May 2022. A white entry door with a leaded decorative glass panel and matching sidelites sits under a gabled portico, set against dark slate blue siding with white trim and an arched window above.
Both photos focus tightly on the entry of a two-story colonial. A small gable portico projects from the wall on white knee braces, with a mitered fascia and a hanging lantern under its ceiling. The door itself is a full-height decorative glass unit flanked by two narrow clear sidelites, all set in a wide white casing that steps down to a poured concrete stoop. Above the portico, an arch-topped window with divided lites breaks the wall of dark lap siding.
The opening was rebuilt to take a wider door-plus-sidelite assembly, with new jamb, casing and sill trim wrapped around all three units. The portico brackets and fascia were re-trimmed and painted to match, and the siding was cut back and re-flashed at the head and legs of the new frame.
Details visible in the photos include gabled entry portico, decorative glass entry door, flanking sidelites. Materials on the elevation: lap siding, white entry door with decorative glass, white sidelites, white PVC trim.
Built with ThermaTru. The finish shown is dark slate blue. Deliveries were staged so materials weren't sitting on the lawn for weeks. One project manager ran the job from first measurement through final walkthrough.
