Entry & Patio Doors in Shrewsbury, MA

Photographed in Shrewsbury, MA after the crew wrapped up in January 2022. Taken from inside during construction, the photo shows a wide white sliding glass door set into a freshly framed opening with the new header still exposed, looking out to the deck.

Both photos are taken from inside the room during construction. The first shows the wall opened up wide, the new header and jack studs in raw lumber, subfloor down and tools and offcuts spread across the deck outside. The second is later in the same day's work: the sliding door is set in the opening, glass in, with the header still bare above it and the drywall around the opening cut back to the studs. Beyond the glass you can see the deck, cable railing and outdoor furniture.

The existing wall was cut back and a new header installed to carry the wider opening. Jack studs and a plumb rough opening were built out before the slider went in. Interior finish around the opening was removed to the framing and left open for trim and drywall work after the door was set.
