This was a straight door replacement in an existing opening rather than a wall change: the jambs are re-cased in white on the inside and trimmed to the porch's vertical boards outside, with the threshold reset flush to the finish floor. The new unit is white on the interior and dark on the exterior, so both rooms it touches read correctly, and the porch's board wall was cut back and re-trimmed around the new frame.
