We completed this door installation job in Plainville, MA in April 2024. The exterior photo shows a new white sliding patio door set into clay-toned siding with wide white PVC casing, and the interior view shows the same unit trimmed out with built-in blinds between the glass.
Two exterior frames and one interior frame cover a single opening on a raised deck. Outside, the new two-panel slider sits in clay-tan lap siding with a wide white PVC casing and a thick sill trim resting just above the gray deck boards; a screen panel rides on the outer track. The interior view shows the same unit from a tiled room with a baseboard heater along the wall, a bare wood threshold not yet capped, and the slider open to the deck where tools and trim stock are laid out.
The old patio door was pulled and a new insulated slider set in the opening, then wrapped with PVC casing on the head, jambs and a projecting sill. Interior casing was reinstalled around the opening with the wood threshold left ready for finish. Photos show the deck used as the staging area, with trim being cut on site during install.
