CertainTeed Siding in Winthrop, MA

This siding project in Winthrop, MA was finished in February 2025. A three-decker wrapped in medium blue lap siding with white trim, showing stacked front porches with white columns, one level in stained wood rail and the other in white balusters.

The before photo shows a dark, patched shingle wall on the narrow side of the building, weathered and streaked, with a white downspout running the full height. The finished side elevation shows the same wall in blue lap with cream casings, the windows now evenly spaced and trimmed, and a rear porch and rail visible at the corner. A second finished view takes in the front corner: a cross gable, a diamond-pane accent window, and lap siding wrapping onto the neighbor-facing wall. The porch photo shows blue siding behind a white rail, a black full-lite storm door and a stained porch floor.

Comparing the before and after, the shingles were pulled off and the wall re-clad flat, with casings rebuilt around every opening. The gable ends, the porch ceilings and the small accent window were all trimmed out new. Siding is carried tight to the neighboring building on the narrow side, which means the crew worked that elevation off ladders in a tight setback.
