A siding project our team completed in Hopkinton, MA - January 2022. Pale yellow lap siding with dark brown trim and corner boards wraps the house, with vertical board siding in the gable end and a tall brick chimney breaking the side wall.

This contemporary steps down a wooded slope, with a shed-roof section over a sunroom on one end and a two-bay garage tucked under the far gable. Pale lap siding covers the tall gable wall and the dormered upper level, with dark brown casings around every window and a red entry door at the top of the stone steps. The rear photo shows the brick chimney running the full height of the wall with siding cut to it, a heat pump condenser at grade and a glassed-in porch on the low end. From the driveway, the garage gable and the brown-trimmed doors close out the composition.

The work re-sided the main block, the gable end, the sunroom and the garage wing in lap siding, with dark brown casings, corner boards and rake trim throughout. Siding was cut tight to the full-height brick chimney and around the mechanical equipment and the porch glazing. Brown gutters and downspouts were run at each eave and carried to grade.

Details visible in the photos include dark brown trim contrast, board-and-batten gable end, tall brick chimney. Materials on the elevation: pale yellow lap siding, dark brown trim and corner boards, vertical board siding in gable, asphalt shingle roof.

Built with James Hardie. The finish shown is pale yellow. One project manager ran the job from first measurement through final walkthrough. Deliveries were staged so materials weren't sitting on the lawn for weeks.
