CertainTeed Siding in Upton, MA

Photographed in Upton, MA after the crew wrapped up in June 2023. Front and side views show a steep-gabled home in dark slate blue-gray lap siding trimmed in beige, paired with a stone veneer porch wall and timber-braced porch posts.

This is a wooded lot house with a long covered porch on posts running down one side and a second covered area at the far end. The gable end rises steep and unbroken except for a louvered vent at the peak and a small upper window. Around back, a fieldstone chimney breaks through the low roof slope and a red metal flue pipe runs up the corner beside the propane tanks and condenser. A third view from below shows the screened section, the wraparound deck on posts and the fieldstone base wall under it.

Siding was run tight to the porch beams and post connections, around the chimney chase, the flue and the mechanical lines rather than through open wall. Window openings were re-cased in beige, and the frieze and rake boards were replaced to match. New starter and a colored trim strip were set along the concrete slab and foundation edge.
