A siding project our team completed in Gloucester, MA - April 2023. An elevated composite deck in soft gray runs along the back of a light gray house, framed by a clean white fascia band and black aluminum railings, with sliding glass doors opening onto it.

The deck is built off a walkout wall, framed on posts stepping down a ledge-and-boulder slope, so the far corner stands well above grade. Black aluminum picket railing runs the full perimeter with a white fascia band capping the rim joist. A photo taken from the deck surface shows the grooved composite boards running the length of the platform toward the railing, with woods and open ledge beyond. A closer shot shows two sliders and a small window opening onto it, with speakers mounted under the eave.

Construction of an elevated composite deck on a sloping ledge site, framed on posts with a white-wrapped rim and grooved decking. Black aluminum picket railing was installed around the open sides. The adjacent wall was clad in gray siding with white casings at the sliders and window.

Details visible in the photos include elevated deck, black aluminum railings, white skirt fascia band. Materials on the elevation: gray composite decking, white composite fascia, black aluminum railing, light gray siding.

Specified here: Trex, James Hardie. The finish shown is light gray. The site was cleared at the end of each working day rather than only at the end of the job. The same crew that started the project finished it.
