This siding project in Brockton, MA was finished in January 2023. Front and rear views of a cape finished in warm gray lap siding with bright white trim, black shutters at the front windows, a new shingle roof, and a low deck off the back door.
From the street the cape shows a small gable dormer with a divided-light window, a stone chimney rising out of the roof slope, and a stone-faced stoop with black iron rails at the front door. The back of the house is busier: a glassed-in sunporch with its own gable, a metal awning over the rear door, a small shed-roof bump-out, and a low platform deck built off the slab. A third photo comes in close on a window sill and the run of trim below it, with a length of white trim stock leaning against the wall mid-install.
Lap siding was carried around the sunporch, the bump-out and the gable dormer, with white casing and sill trim run at each opening. Roof and gutters were replaced on the main slopes and the porch gable. Utility penetrations, hose bibs and basement windows were re-trimmed as the siding reached them.
