Milton, MA - siding completed April 2024. Light gray-green lap siding covers the main walls while board-and-batten panels accent the gable ends, all outlined in white trim around a grouped run of new white windows.
A large gambrel colonial with a new two-story addition on the garage side. The rear wall is one long plane of gray-green lap siding broken by a bank of basement-level windows and a rear entry door, all sitting on an exposed poured concrete foundation. The side view shows board-and-batten panels filling the upper gambrel wall and a matching gable, with a downspout running the full height. Out front, a boarded garage opening, stacked siding offcuts and rolls of wrap show the job still wrapping up.
The shell was re-clad over ZIP sheathing, whose panels are still stacked on site, with lap siding on the main walls and board-and-batten in the gable and gambrel faces. Window and door openings were re-cased in white with head trim, corner boards and frieze runs were installed, and new gutters and downspouts were hung as the trim went on.
Details visible in the photos include board-and-batten gable ends, gambrel-style roofline, banded window group. Materials on the elevation: fiber cement lap siding, board-and-batten gable siding, white PVC trim, asphalt shingle roof.
