We completed this siding job in Braintree, MA in January 2022. Blue-gray lap siding covers the two-story home and its sunroom bump-out, framed in white trim, with a covered entry porch, white railings, and wide stairs over a fieldstone foundation.
The house is a two-and-a-half story with a shed dormer set into the front roof slope and an enclosed sunroom stepping off one side. Siding runs continuously from the fieldstone foundation up through the dormer cheeks, and the side elevation shows how the courses carry past a service panel, meter and a long downspout without breaking rhythm. A rooftop photo taken from the porch roof looks straight at the wall above the existing gray shingles, where the siding terminates into a formed flashing and a J-channel at the roof-to-wall junction.
Work covered the main body, the dormer and the side wing, with new corner posts and window casings and reset utility penetrations. At the porch roof the crew set a kick flashing and trimmed the wall course tight to the shingles so water sheds away rather than behind the siding. Porch railings, steps and column wraps were finished in white to match.
Details visible in the photos include covered front porch, shed dormer, enclosed sunroom windows. Materials on the elevation: vinyl lap siding, white PVC trim, white-framed windows, white porch railing.
Products used: CertainTeed, Harvey. The finish shown is Coastal Blue (closest manufacturer match). Permits, inspections and dumpster logistics were handled by us. Progress photos went to the homeowner as the job moved along.
