We completed this siding job in Quincy, MA in January 2022. A hip-roofed addition is finished in light blue-gray shake-pattern siding with white corner boards and window trim, seen from a brick patio shaded by a vine-covered arbor.
Three views cover the whole property. The low hip-roofed wing sits under new shingles with a white fascia and a downspout run at the corner, its shake courses lined up tight to the window casing. A detached two-bay garage, also hip-roofed, is finished in white trim above paneled overhead doors on an asphalt apron. The main house is a gambrel with a two-story canted bay under its own hipped cap, a brick chimney at the ridge, gable dormers on the roof slope and a small columned side porch with dark railing.
The job wrapped the main gambrel, the low hip-roofed wing and the detached garage in the same shake-pattern siding and white trim. Every window got new casing, the bay and dormer faces were sided to follow their angles, and fascia, corner boards and downspouts were replaced along the way.
Details visible in the photos include staggered shake siding, hip-roof addition, white corner boards. Materials on the elevation: vinyl shake siding, white PVC trim, asphalt shingle roof, white window casings.
Materials on this job: CertainTeed, Pella. The finish shown is Sterling Gray (closest manufacturer match). The work carries a written workmanship warranty alongside the manufacturer's material warranty. Pricing was agreed in writing before the crew started, and the number at the end matched it.
