This siding project in Quincy, MA was finished in January 2022. Two views of a new three-story home in warm white lap siding with black window frames throughout, a cantilevered balcony, and a railed roof deck at the top floor.

Two exterior photos and one framing shot cover this build. The rear elevation shows a shed dormer with a band of three windows, a hipped roof over the main block, and a small gabled entry hood over a dark door; a new pressure-treated deck with black metal cable rail is still under construction, with buckets and a ladder on it. The street-side view shows the roof deck at the top, its black railing and privacy screen, a shingled gable panel, and a wide overhang above the basement windows. The third frame is interior framing: green ZIP System sheathing with taped seams, a rough door opening, and a diagonal brace.

This was new construction sided from sheathing up. ZIP System panels with taped seams formed the weather barrier before lap siding went on, with a shingle-pattern panel used in the upper gable. Windows and doors were cased in white against dark frames, and the crew worked alongside deck framing and a roof-deck railing already in place.

Details visible in the photos include roof deck with black railing, cantilevered balcony, black window frames. Materials on the elevation: fiber cement lap siding, black-framed windows, shingle-pattern gable accent, asphalt shingle roof.

Specified here: James Hardie, GAF, Pella. The finish shown is Arctic White (closest manufacturer match). The site was cleared at the end of each working day rather than only at the end of the job. The same crew that started the project finished it.
