Work is still underway in every frame. Barn-red lap siding covers a big multi-gable house, white casings picked out around windows that still carry their factory labels, and two chartreuse doors give the elevations their one jolt of color. A white balcony rail sits above one of them. Below, deck framing is in progress: white post sleeves stand in rows, a miter saw and stacks of lumber occupy the ground, and fieldstone foundation shows between the siding and the dirt. A front view through the site fence shows the garage bay still framed open under a shed dormer.
Siding here is going on around active carpentry, so the crew had to hold lines against unfinished decks, an open garage opening and stone foundation that varies in height. Every gable, shed dormer and bump-out was cased in white before the field boards were run, and the siding stops on a clean white band above the fieldstone. Post sleeves for the deck rails were set as the siding progressed so the two systems meet without patching.
