Somerville, MA - siding completed October 2022. A Victorian-era multi-family clad in olive green lap siding with bright white trim and window casings, wrapping the rounded turret bay, dormers and porch of the original architecture.
Two street views show the finished corner of the building: olive green lap running up the rounded turret bay, a hipped turret roof, a shed dormer in the third floor, and the porch columns picked out in the same green with white caps. A third photo, taken earlier in the job, shows HardieWrap still exposed across the porch ceiling and the wall behind the columns, with a dumpster parked at the fence and a ladder against the turret. The last frame looks at the side and rear, where new lap siding meets a gable end above a brick foundation and a stretch of house wrap is still showing near a rebuilt entry.
The progress shots confirm a full tear-off: sheathing was covered in branded house wrap before any siding went on, and the porch ceiling and column surrounds were rebuilt at the same time. Siding is run in courses around the curved turret wall, which requires cutting each course to the radius. Trim, window casings and the porch skirt were replaced rather than reused.
