This window replacement project in Waltham, MA was finished in January 2022. A four-panel bow window is shown from inside with fresh white casing and a wide sill, paired with the exterior before shot of the tired original unit set between dark shutters.
This is a low, wide ranch with white lap siding, a brick chimney set behind the roof ridge and dark louvered shutters flanking the front opening. One photo catches the middle of the job: the old unit is out, the rough opening is stripped back to bare framing, and the room's fireplace and archways are visible from the street. Another shows the finished four-panel bow from outside, its curved head trim tucked under the gutter line. The interior shot shows the unit still labeled, set into a raw wood opening before casing.
A single large opening was worked start to finish. The old window came out with the interior finish left intact, the opening was cleared to the framing and re-headed, then the bow was set, shimmed and shimmed level, and the exterior trimmed to meet the existing siding and shutters. Two ladders and a contractor bag on the bed line show a one-opening, same-day style install.
