A siding project our team completed in Wayland, MA - April 2022. Deep navy fiber cement lap siding contrasts with white carriage doors, a molded header and a braced loft window on the outbuilding, matched by the main house and its white-railed porch.
A yard-level shot sets the main house against a detached outbuilding, both in the same navy fiber cement with heavy white trim. The house shows a front-gable roof with a returned pediment, a shed-roofed entry addition, and a fieldstone-and-concrete foundation left exposed below the bottom course. From the other side, wide white corner boards, a bracketed gable overhang and a small chimney break up the navy wall, with a white lattice-skirted deck and bulkhead at the corner. A third photo closes in on the hip-roofed entry vestibule: a white six-lite door between two carriage lanterns above concrete steps.
House and outbuilding were both stripped and resided in fiber cement lap, with new white corner boards, window casings, frieze and rake trim. The entry vestibule was trimmed out and flashed, the foundation line finished with a starter and metal skirt, and gable overhangs and brackets reworked to match.
Details visible in the photos include carriage barn doors, loft window with X-braces, white pediment header. Materials on the elevation: fiber cement lap siding, white PVC trim, carriage-style doors, black strap hardware.
Built with James Hardie. The finish shown is Evening Blue (closest manufacturer match). Deliveries were staged so materials weren't sitting on the lawn for weeks. One project manager ran the job from first measurement through final walkthrough.
