Framingham, MA - siding completed September 2024. Work-in-progress views show a low ranch with medium gray siding, one gable stripped back to fresh housewrap, and new white trim stock staged along the patio ready to install.
The close-in shots tell the story of this house better than a full elevation would. Under the front porch roof the old fascia is stripped back to bare, rotted wood, and the wall below the picture window is open to housewrap while new shake panels are stacked and cut on sawhorses. In the next frame a wide three-unit window is already set and cased in the same opening. A third photo shows two finished double-hungs on a cream-sided wall, casings tight to a vented soffit.
Siding and windows moved together on this job. Openings were cut back to framing, taped at the head, jambs, and sill with flashing tape over the wall barrier, then the new units were set, cased, and the siding worked back to them. Rotted fascia and trim under the porch roof were replaced, and shake-pattern panels went on the entry wall with lap siding elsewhere.
