A siding project our team completed in Southborough, MA - August 2023. Warm greige lap siding with white trim and dark shutters covers this colonial front, while the side view shows the same siding carried past a brick chimney to the rear deck.
The side view shows a tall gable end with a single second-floor window and a small bay-windowed bump-out under its own hipped roof at the corner. From the back yard the roof steps down over a rear wing with a chimney, skylights sit in the main slope, and a stained wood deck with matching rail runs along a slider. The front photo takes in the whole colonial with its two-story gable-end wall, an attached garage wing with paired doors, a brick chimney and a brick walk to the entry.
All elevations, including the garage wing, the rear ell and the bay bump-out, were resided in greige lap with white trim. Corner boards, rakes and casings were replaced, siding was fitted to the chimney and the deck ledger, and the shutters were reset on the front once the courses were done.
Details visible in the photos include two-story colonial front, dark shutters, carriage lanterns. Materials on the elevation: fiber cement lap siding, white PVC trim, asphalt shingle roof, dark brown shutters.
Built with James Hardie, Andersen, GAF. The finish shown is Cobble Stone (closest manufacturer match). Deliveries were staged so materials weren't sitting on the lawn for weeks. One project manager ran the job from first measurement through final walkthrough.
