We completed this siding job in Westborough, MA in January 2022. Both photos show the addition fully clad in bright white lap siding with matching trim under a charcoal shingle roof, new windows and gray French doors set, while deck framing is still underway below.
This is a large gabled rear elevation with stacked gable peaks, a shed dormer, a projecting bay, a bump-out with its own gable, and a brick chimney on the older wing at left. One frame captures the wall before cladding, fully sheathed and covered in house wrap with every window and door opening taped at the flanges and rough openings still open for the last units. The other two show the same elevation finished, with the bay and its flared skirt trimmed out and the walls carried down to a poured foundation. Ground around the house is still raw fill and stone.
Work covered new sheathing and a full house-wrap layer with taped, flashed window and door openings before any siding went on. Lap siding was run around the bay, dormers, gable peaks and the bump-out, with wide trim built out at corners, rakes and casings. Openings received new units and the lower walls were closed off tight to the concrete foundation.
Details visible in the photos include multi-gable roofline, shed dormers, gray French doors with transom. Materials on the elevation: white vinyl lap siding, white window trim, charcoal asphalt shingle roof, gray French doors.
