Photographed in Greater Boston, MA after the crew wrapped up in March 2026. A large composite deck in warm reddish brown runs off the cream-sided house, finished with a picture-frame border, contrasting breaker boards and black aluminum railings overlooking the pool.
The deck wraps the back and side of a two-story house clad in cream lap siding with white window trim and a brick chimney climbing the end wall. Boards run in long parallel runs broken by a diagonal seam board where the two sections meet, so each field keeps its own direction. Black posts with square caps carry the railing around the open sides, stepping down at a gate opening near the yard. From the far corner the deck looks out past an arborvitae screen and a covered pool toward the neighboring houses.
The job built a large multi-section composite deck against the house, with framing laid out to allow board directions to change across a mitered seam. Deck boards were installed with a picture-frame border and breaker boards, and black aluminum rail sections with posts and caps were set around the open perimeter. A rail opening was left for stair access down to grade.
