This siding project in Natick, MA was finished in January 2022. Muted olive green lap siding with wide white casings surrounds black-framed windows, gabled dormers, and a round porthole window, set beneath a weathered wood shake roof.

This is a gambrel-roofed cape carrying several gabled dormers, a brick chimney at the ridge and a skylight in the rear slope. Siding runs from the foundation to the dormer cheeks and up into the peaks, and one gable end carries a round porthole window ringed in white. Around back a raised deck with white rail sits above a lattice-skirted crawl space, reached by wide granite steps flanked by fieldstone walls, and a small standing-seam roof shelters the side entry.

Siding was installed across the main house, every dormer, the ell and the entry bump-out, with wide white casings run around dark-framed windows and a white band at the rake and eave. Dormer cheeks and the gambrel break were the fussy parts, each one trimmed and flashed. Meter, gas piping and downspouts were reset onto the finished wall.

Details visible in the photos include gabled dormers, round porthole window, black window frames. Materials on the elevation: fiber cement lap siding, white PVC trim, black-framed windows, wood shake roof.

Materials on this job: James Hardie, Andersen, GAF. The finish shown is Heathered Moss (closest manufacturer match). The work carries a written workmanship warranty alongside the manufacturer's material warranty. Pricing was agreed in writing before the crew started, and the number at the end matched it.
