A deck building project our team completed in Greater Boston, MA - May 2024. A large covered composite deck in warm brown boards runs the full back of a ranch home, carried on square white columns under a low shed roof with a ceiling fan and recessed lighting.

Three views of the same covered deck on a single-story home. The roof is a shallow shed structure carried on square white columns with molded bases, tied into the house eave and finished with a white fascia and gutter. Underneath, the ceiling is dark stained board with a fan and pendant lights on it, and the floor is composite board running the length of the wall past two sliders and a side entry. A row of paver blocks edges the deck where it meets the driveway, and the yard beside it is still bare soil from the work.

A full-width covered deck was built off the back of the ranch: framing, composite decking, a shed roof tied into the existing roofline, and square columns on the open side. Work included a stained board ceiling with fan and light wiring, white fascia and gutter, and a paver edge where the deck meets the driveway apron.

Details visible in the photos include covered porch roof, square white columns, ceiling fan. Materials on the elevation: composite decking, white PVC posts and trim, vinyl lap siding, white aluminum gutters.

Built with AZEK, Trex, GAF. The finish shown is Spiced Rum (closest manufacturer match). Deliveries were staged so materials weren't sitting on the lawn for weeks. One project manager ran the job from first measurement through final walkthrough.
