The framing photo shows the deck laid out over a graded pad behind a split-level: a treated rim and beam carried on posts, with joists running out to the front rim and a separate framed stair box built at grade. In the finished views the same platform is closed in with a white fascia band, white balusters between capped posts, and a long stair run with a railing on both sides descending across the slope. Below the deck the treated posts stand on poured pads with the ground left open.
Framing went in first on posts with concrete pads, tying a ledger to the rear wall of the split-level. The finish stage added decking, a wrapped rim fascia, sleeved posts and railing sections, plus a long straight stair with closed risers and matching rail. Siding and trim on the rear wall were completed before the railings went on.
