Photographed in Marlborough, MA after the crew wrapped up in April 2023. An elevated deck built off the rear of a sage-green home, framed with white posts, fascia and balusters, topped with gray composite boards and reached by a curved-railing stair down to the yard.

One photo shows the underside during construction: three posts still in their blue-taped protective sleeves, standing on footings in the dirt below a finished white fascia and joist bay. Another looks down the deck surface from the house, gray composite boards running lengthwise into a corner where the railing turns and drops to a stair. A third catches the stair itself, gray treads over white risers with a matching handrail returning to the wall beside the door. The wide shot shows the whole structure cantilevered over a fieldstone retaining wall.

The framing photo shows posts landing on individual footings rather than a slab, with the beam and joists later wrapped in white fascia and skirt trim. Railing sections are square-baluster with capped newels, and the stair carries its own handrail on both sides. Gray composite decking is run over the stair treads and landing pad as well, so no framing lumber is left exposed.

Details visible in the photos include elevated second-story deck, curved stair railing, white balusters. Materials on the elevation: gray composite decking, white vinyl railings, white PVC posts and fascia, light green lap siding.

Specified here: AZEK, Trex. The finish shown is soft sage green. The same crew that started the project finished it. The site was cleared at the end of each working day rather than only at the end of the job.

If your house needs deck building around Marlborough, we'll walk the property and quote it properly.
