We completed this siding job in Natick, MA in January 2022. Light gray lap siding with board-and-batten panels in the gables and a horizontal belly band, all outlined in wide white trim and corner boards on a newly finished home.
The front elevation is a tall, narrow gable end with a shed-roofed entry hood over the side door and a single second-floor window tucked under the rake. Around the corner the house steps back into a two-story ell, so the belly band carries across three different wall planes without a break. Grade is still raw dirt in these shots, with a fresh asphalt walkway curving to the door and propane tanks set on a pad at the rear corner. A third photo shows a different two-story elevation clad in a warmer greige lap with cream casings, French doors and a bulkhead at the basement wall.
Full exterior cladding on a newly built house: house wrap, lap siding on the main walls, board-and-batten in the gables, and a continuous belly band separating the two floors. Corner boards, window casings, frieze and rake trim were all run in white. Aluminum gutters and downspouts were hung off the eaves and carried to grade.
