CertainTeed Siding in Braintree, MA

Photographed in Braintree, MA after the crew wrapped up in January 2022. Warm gray lap siding wraps the whole house including the bulkhead and rear elevation, finished with white window casings and railings beneath a new gray architectural shingle roof.

Two before photos show a dated exterior: pale beige clapboard, a weathered roof and a rear wall where shingle above and clapboard below never quite matched, with a gabled hood over the back door. The finished views are a different house. Warm gray lap siding wraps the raised ranch and the garage-under bay, white casings sharpen every opening, and a new light-gray architectural shingle roof runs the full ridge. The brick chimney stands out against the gray. At the driveway, white carriage-style garage doors with black strap hardware sit below a block retaining wall and clipped shrubs.

Roof and siding were replaced together, which the before and after pairs make obvious: the old streaked shingles and the mismatched wall materials are both gone. All openings were re-cased in white, and the mismatched upper shingle and lower clapboard on the rear were replaced with a single continuous lap profile. New white gutters follow the eave, and the entry door and garage doors were changed out as part of the same exterior.

Details visible in the photos include bulkhead entry doors, white deck railings and stairs, block retaining wall. Materials on the elevation: vinyl lap siding, white PVC trim, asphalt shingle roof, white vinyl railings.
