Boston, MA - siding completed January 2022. One photo captures the house mid-tear-off with ladders staged, and the other shows it finished in medium gray siding that mixes shingle and lap courses, all outlined with wide white trim.
The house is a two-and-a-half-story city two-family with a stacked front porch: an open first-floor entry porch and a railed balcony above, both under the main roof and framed by square white posts. Two photos, taken on a wet gray day, show the finished gray lap siding running the full side wall past two rows of double-hung windows and down the narrow driveway to the back. New treated posts are still standing at the porch corner where railing work was underway. A third frame shows the street elevation with a hip dormer, mixed shingle and lap courses and old concrete entry steps.
Siding was replaced across all elevations, with the porch and balcony framing rebuilt and the ceilings and posts re-wrapped in white. Window openings were cased and the courses cut tight around a wall AC sleeve and utility penetrations. Fresh white balustrades went in at the balcony and entry, with treated posts set for the remaining railing sections.
Details visible in the photos include gable dormer, covered front porch, mixed shake and lap siding. Materials on the elevation: gray shingle-style siding, gray lap siding, white PVC trim, white porch railings.
