This siding project in Boston, MA was finished in January 2022. The two-family is wrapped in sage green lap siding with cream trim, carried cleanly around the bay windows, porch columns and cornice returns, framing a red front door.
This is a hip-roofed two-family with an enclosed sun porch at the second floor and a bay of windows stacked on the front corner. The street view shows the finished cream-trimmed siding running around the corner boards and under the projecting bays, with a railed stair up to the covered front entry. From the driveway side you can see the two-story rear porch with its lattice X railings and the older garage beside it. A brick chimney rises past the eave at the back of the house.
The whole exterior was re-sided, including the tight returns around the stacked bay windows, the porch posts and the wall behind the two-story rear porch. Corner boards, window casings and the frieze under the eave were run in cream to outline each plane. The stone foundation, porch railings and garage were left as found.
Details visible in the photos include covered front porch, hip roof, red front door. Materials on the elevation: vinyl lap siding, cream PVC trim, white porch columns, double-hung windows.
Specified here: CertainTeed. The finish shown is sage green. The site was cleared at the end of each working day rather than only at the end of the job. The same crew that started the project finished it.
