Belmont, MA - siding completed January 2022. Before and after views of a large multi-family show the old worn brown exterior replaced with fresh deep brown lap siding and bright white casings wrapping every window and bay.
This is a large three-story multi-family with stacked porches on the front and a narrow side alley barely wide enough to work in. The new brown siding runs from the stone foundation up past a two-story balcony, with a white band board marking the floor line and white casings on every window. Bay projections step out on both the front and the side. A brick chimney climbs the front wall to the roof, and dormers sit above the third floor.
All elevations were reclad, including the tight alley wall where staging space was minimal. Corner boards, the horizontal band board between floors, and window casings were run in white, and the siding was cut around porch posts, balcony framing, and stair stringers. Gutters and downspouts were rehung and the exposed stone foundation was left uncovered.
Details visible in the photos include three-story two-family, bay window, covered front porch with columns. Materials on the elevation: vinyl lap siding, white trim, white vinyl windows, brick chimney.
Built with CertainTeed. The finish shown is deep chocolate brown. One project manager ran the job from first measurement through final walkthrough. Deliveries were staged so materials weren't sitting on the lawn for weeks.
