Photographed in Newton, MA after the crew wrapped up in January 2022. A wraparound farmer's porch framed in unfinished red cedar, with turned columns, X-pattern rail panels and a dark-stained deck floor, set against greige lap siding, white trim and a black front door.

Two wide shots show the porch running the full front of the house and turning the corner, its turned columns and square-baluster rail sections still in raw cedar with white paint cut in at the joints. A closer view at the entry catches the gabled porch roof over the door with a shingled tympanum, the newel balls on the stair posts, and dark stained treads over white risers. The last photo is tight on the steps: three stained treads, white risers and skirt, a white handrail returning to the post, and a lattice panel closing in the porch skirt.

The cedar columns, rails and balusters were installed raw and primed in place, which is why the white shows at the joints and post tops. Deck boards and stair treads are stained a dark tone and run over painted white risers and skirt boards. The skirt is closed with framed lattice panels, and the X-pattern rail sections were built as separate infill panels between posts.
