Photographed in Newton, MA after the crew wrapped up in August 2023. Light blue siding with deeper blue shutters and white trim on the house, paired with warm brown composite deck boards, white railings, black balusters and lighted post caps.
Two levels of outdoor space were rebuilt here. The main deck sits off a slider at the back of the house, a wide rectangle of composite boards laid on the diagonal to the wall and stepping down to a lower platform along the fence line. A separate side entry got its own run of stairs from the driveway up to a small landing at the door. Railings are white posts and top rails with black round balusters, and every post carries a solar cap light. Below the side stairs, painted pressure-treated posts sit on brick and stone at grade.
The job covered new framing, composite decking and a full railing package on both the main deck and the side stair. Boards run in a single direction across each level, with picture-frame edges at the stair treads and landings. Stair stringers and skirts were painted white, and posts were set on masonry pads. Solar post caps were fitted on every railing post.
Details visible in the photos include solar post cap lights, composite deck stairs, brick chimney. Materials on the elevation: light blue lap siding, blue shutters, white trim, brown composite decking.
Built with AZEK, Trex, CertainTeed. The finish shown is light blue. One project manager ran the job from first measurement through final walkthrough. Deliveries were staged so materials weren't sitting on the lawn for weeks.
