Trex Decks & Porches in Needham, MA

We completed this deck building job in Needham, MA in January 2022. A raised charcoal composite deck sits off the back of a two-story home, framed on pressure-treated posts with black cable railings and a matching dark stair run down to the yard.

The sequence runs from finished deck to the framing stage. One view looks across the deck surface from a side door, past covered patio furniture, to cable railing that opens onto the stair. A second frames the stair run head-on: black posts and top rails with horizontal cable infill, pressure-treated rim and posts below, and white vinyl skirting closing the under-deck. The last photo is the build itself, with new posts on concrete footings, a doubled beam and rim in place, a level clamped to the ledger, and a wheelbarrow and tools in the dirt.

The deck was built new from footings up: concrete piers, pressure-treated posts and beam, ledger attachment to the house, then composite decking. Black posts with horizontal cable infill were installed on the perimeter and down the stair run, and vinyl skirting closed the framing below.
