This window replacement project in Westborough, MA was finished in March 2024. The photos show new window openings framed into a charcoal-sided wall, each unit set with black exterior casing that matches the siding, with a wall-mounted mini-split condenser and its line set neatly routed.
The gable-end wall is one broad face of charcoal lap siding with a louvered vent at the peak, two small upper windows and two larger ones below. Vent piping, a downspout and a wall-mounted mini-split condenser are all fitted flat against the finished siding, with the line set run down and over to the unit. A closer photo isolates one tall casement in dark exterior casing with the sash label still on the glass and the meter socket alongside. The interior view shows the same window from a plaster room with a chair rail and baseboard heat.
New openings were cut and framed in an existing wall, then trimmed with dark exterior casing chosen to disappear into the charcoal siding. Siding was cut in around the casings, the piping and the electrical meter. Inside, the wall was patched back around the opening with new board and the window returned with painted casing and sill.
