We completed this window replacement job in Marlborough, MA in April 2024. Interior views of freshly installed white double-hung windows with colonial grids, still carrying factory labels, set in openings awaiting final trim in a bath and a dining area.
One photo is tight on a sash frame, showing the factory warranty label with its production and sales order codes still on the unit. A bedroom shot shows a new colonial-grid double-hung set in an opening where the old jamb liner and casing have been cut back to bare wood, with a paint patch tested on the wall beside it. Another room shows a tall narrow double-hung in a blue-gray wall, the old casing stripped away around the whole perimeter. The last frame shows a three-wide double-hung group set in one opening, all three units labeled, seen from inside a dark-painted room.
Each photo shows the same install method: the old sash and jamb liners were pulled out, the rough opening cleaned back to framing, and the new unit set and foamed before any trim went on. The exposed perimeter around each unit is left for casing, which is why the raw wood and old paint edges are still visible. The three-wide group was set as separate units mulled into a single opening.
