Photographed in Greater Boston, MA after the crew wrapped up in November 2025. Photos show the home stripped to sheathing and wrapped in taped rigid foam insulation board, with new windows and the entry door already set, waiting for finish siding to go on over the upgraded thermal envelope.
A split-level with a shallow shed roof, deep eaves and a brick chimney at the ridge. Two photos take the house at dusk: the upper wall is fully covered in foil-faced rigid foam board, taped at every seam, with new white windows already set and flashed into it while the brick lower level and garage stay untouched. The third view from the yard shows the same wall in daylight, the left wing already finished in blue-gray lap siding while the right half is still bare board. Long siding and trim stock lies out on the lawn.
The old cladding came off down to sheathing, then continuous rigid foam insulation board went on over the whole upper wall and was taped seam to seam. New window units were set into the thickened wall and flashed, with head and jamb trim built out to suit the added depth. Finish lap siding then followed section by section, working around the existing brick base.
Details visible in the photos include mid-installation wall wrap, low-slope overhanging eave, wide window band. Materials on the elevation: rigid foam insulation board, housewrap seam tape, new white vinyl-clad windows, asphalt shingle roof.
Products used: James Hardie, Harvey. Progress photos went to the homeowner as the job moved along. Permits, inspections and dumpster logistics were handled by us.
