Wellesley, MA - siding completed September 2022. Both photos show the two-family reclad in warm gray-mauve lap siding with bright white window casings, corner boards and porch columns, carried around every gable, bump-out and rear entry.

One photo catches the two-family mid-job: staging poles and pump-jack planks stand at both ends, most of the upper walls are stripped to blue foam insulation board, and a crew member is setting a course on the lower left wall while finished siding already covers the right half. The other two show the finished building — a steep front gable with a second-floor window, a columned entry porch over stone steps, and a rear ell with a hipped bump-out — all on a rough fieldstone foundation with white basement hopper windows.

Rigid foam board was applied over the walls before the new siding, and staging was set on both elevations to reach the gable peaks. Trim was rebuilt around every opening, along the porch columns and beam, and at the rakes and corners. Siding was terminated cleanly on the stone foundation and cut around basement windows, meters and hose bibs.

Details visible in the photos include two-family gable-front massing, covered front porch, hip-roof rear bump-out. Materials on the elevation: vinyl lap siding, white window trim, white corner boards, asphalt shingle roof.

Products used: CertainTeed. The finish shown is warm gray-mauve. Progress photos went to the homeowner as the job moved along. Permits, inspections and dumpster logistics were handled by us.
