A siding project our team completed in Walpole, MA - January 2022. Pale cream siding covers this cape, with a shake-pattern texture on the gable walls, white window surrounds and black louvered shutters framing the sash beside a covered breezeway.
The photos work around a steep story-and-a-half house with a long sweeping roof slope and a low concrete foundation that steps down to basement sash at grade. A small louvered vent sits high in each gable peak, and the shingle-pattern courses run unbroken from the peak to the water table with no seams over the windows. On the entry side the roof carries down over a small covered alcove beside a shed dormer. A tight close-up shows the wall still open next to a window, with black underlayment and cap fasteners exposed and the new corner post and trim already set.
Old wall covering came off down to the sheathing, which was papered and cap-fastened before new panels went on. Crews reset corner posts, window casings and sill trim, then ran the courses across the gable ends, the alcove and the low foundation line. Gable vents and basement openings were trimmed back in.
Details visible in the photos include shingle-pattern gable siding, black operable-look shutters, breezeway to garage. Materials on the elevation: vinyl shake siding, vinyl lap siding, white PVC window trim, black louvered shutters.
Materials on this job: CertainTeed. The finish shown is Natural Clay (closest manufacturer match). The work carries a written workmanship warranty alongside the manufacturer's material warranty. Pricing was agreed in writing before the crew started, and the number at the end matched it.
