We completed this siding job in Leominster, MA in December 2021. A close view of the gable wall shows the woodgrain texture of deep red lap siding, and the wider shot puts that red against white window trim, a rear sunroom, and a wood deck.

The gable-end shot is the clearest: a steep unbroken red wall with a louvered attic vent at the peak, a single divided-light window low in the field, and a band of board-and-batten filling the wall beneath the roof overhang at the right. Behind it the older wing steps down with a glassed sunroom on a low platform. The rear view sets the red against a standing-seam metal porch roof, dark shutters, and a fresh wood deck at grade. The last frame turns to the front: a low cape wing with a dark entry door, a bluestone-capped stone stoop, and a brick chimney at the ridge.

The job covered the main gable end, the older wing, the rear elevation, and the front cape wall in red lap siding, with a board-and-batten panel used on the lower gable section. New white casings, corner boards, and a rake trim were run throughout. The sunroom, metal porch roof, and brick chimney were all detailed around rather than replaced.

Details visible in the photos include tall gable end wall, attached sunroom, wide white window casings. Materials on the elevation: fiber cement lap siding, white trim, white gutters, white vinyl windows.

Specified here: James Hardie, Andersen. The finish shown is Countrylane Red (closest manufacturer match). The site was cleared at the end of each working day rather than only at the end of the job. The same crew that started the project finished it.
