This siding project in Canton, MA was finished in January 2022. These pre-installation photos show the existing weathered shingle siding, tall brick chimney and aging window trim, with staging poles and ladders already set around the house for the tear-off.

Three photos are pre-installation. The gray-green shingle siding has curled and split, mustard-yellow casings frame the windows and side door, and pump-jack posts and an extension ladder are already leaning against the wall with a ladder laid flat in the grass. From the driveway you see the front: blue clapboard over shingle, mustard shutters and garage door, a dumpster backed in and ladders staged along the wall. The finished rear elevation is the payoff, with light gray lap siding, white casings, a gable vent, and an exterior stair climbing to the back door above a painted foundation.

The before shots show pump-jack posts and ladders set before demolition, and the dumpster in the driveway confirms a full tear-off rather than a layover. Old mustard casings were replaced with white, corner boards and rakes re-run, and the gable vent reset into the new field. The rear stair and its landing stayed, with the siding cut and trimmed around the stringer and door opening.

Details visible in the photos include tall brick chimney, gable-end vent, exterior wood stair. Materials on the elevation: weathered cedar shingle siding, brick chimney, wood window trim, asphalt shingle roof.

Products used: CertainTeed, Harvey, ThermaTru. Progress photos went to the homeowner as the job moved along. Permits, inspections and dumpster logistics were handled by us.
