Boral Siding in Belmont, MA

We completed this siding job in Belmont, MA in January 2022. A brick gambrel home gains light greige siding on the shed dormer and white siding on the lower wing, with white trim and a second-story deck railing tying the elevations together.

The gambrel roof drops almost to the second-floor line here, so the shed dormer and the long wall below it carry most of the siding. Two of the photos are marked up on site in red and black marker, tracing the fascia and dormer lines and circling window heads and a spot where new trim was to stay clear of the existing roof. The finished view is taken at dusk from the patio side: siding runs tight to the brick gable and chimney, a white rail deck sits over the lower brick wing, and new gutters and downspouts follow the gambrel break.

Work covered the frame walls and dormer above the brick lower level, with new trim at rakes, fascia, corners and window heads. The marked photos show detailing decisions made in the field, including keeping new trim off the abutting porch roof. Gutters and downspouts were reset along the gambrel eave and around the dormer.
