We completed this door installation job in Greater Boston, MA in January 2026. A Cape-style home wrapped in deep navy lap siding with crisp white trim, corner boards and window casings, plus matching white gutters and downspouts; a close-up shows the woodgrain texture of the siding.
The street view shows a Cape with two gabled front dormers, an attached one-car garage set forward on the left, and brick steps rising to a white entry door with an oval leaded-glass lite. Around back the same navy runs up a two-story rear wall with a small shed dormer, past a raised deck with lattice privacy panel, and continues onto the detached garage so the two structures read as a set. A close-up at a dormer shows the window boxed in with wide flat casing and a head trim board, and the eave finished with a white fascia and continuous gutter.
White downspouts run cleanly down the rear wall to grade, and the gutter, rake and frieze boards were all replaced along with the wall cladding. Window openings are wrapped in new flat casing with a projecting head, and light blocks were reset over the new siding. The garage was clad to match, which means the crew stripped and re-detailed both buildings rather than the house alone.
Details visible in the photos include Cape-style dormers, front gable dormer, gable vent. Materials on the elevation: fiber cement lap siding, white PVC trim, asphalt shingle roof, white aluminum downspout.
Specified here: James Hardie, Harvey, ThermaTru. The finish shown is Evening Blue (closest manufacturer match). The same crew that started the project finished it. The site was cleared at the end of each working day rather than only at the end of the job.
