Harvey Window Replacement in Leominster, MA

We completed this window replacement job in Leominster, MA in April 2023. The photos show a new basement egress window set into a freshly cut opening in the poured foundation wall, with the surrounding well excavated below the existing white lap siding.

One photo looks out from inside the basement through the new opening: a bare concrete wall, a fresh pressure-treated buck lining the cut, and beyond it the excavated pit with a stepladder standing in it, a pile of crushed stone and a sawhorse work station at grade. Another looks in from outside, the same treated buck framed into the foundation over black flashing tape, with the basement floor and mechanicals visible through the hole. The third is a close view down into the trench along the parged wall.

The job began with excavating a well down the foundation wall, then saw-cutting a new opening in the concrete and framing it with a pressure-treated buck. Flashing membrane was run around the perimeter of the cut before the window went in. Crushed stone was stockpiled on site for drainage backfill at the bottom of the well.
