Worcester, MA - siding completed April 2022. Slate-blue lap siding is set off by white trim, including a custom PVC arched opening cut through the side wall and crisp white casings around the gable, dormer and entry hood.

The close-up at the entry is the one to look at: a steep peaked gable with white rake trim frames a curved copper-toned metal hood over an arched natural-wood door with a diamond-leaded lite, its casing still masked in blue painter's tape, black iron handrails running down worn concrete steps. Beside it a tall arched window sits in the slate-blue field. Wider views show the same blue running across the whole house, up gable ends with cream casings, past a shed dormer and down to a coursed stone foundation with the garage below. A winter frame shows staging poles up and a dumpster in the drive.

The tear-off was run off staging poles with a dumpster on site through the winter. The tricky work is all at the entry: the steep gable, the curved metal hood and the arched door surround each needed the siding cut and scribed to fit, with the casing masked while finishing happened around it. The arched window got its own trimmed surround, and courses were stopped cleanly on the stone foundation rather than dying into it.

Details visible in the photos include custom arched trim opening, steep front gable, copper-look door hood. Materials on the elevation: fiber cement lap siding, white PVC trim, white-framed windows, asphalt shingle roof.

Materials on this job: James Hardie, Harvey. The finish shown is Boothbay Blue (closest manufacturer match). Pricing was agreed in writing before the crew started, and the number at the end matched it. The work carries a written workmanship warranty alongside the manufacturer's material warranty.
