A siding project our team completed in Worcester, MA - February 2023. Deep navy lap siding with bright white trim and window casings covers both the gable front and the rear elevation, meeting an original fieldstone foundation at grade.
A gable-front colonial with a lower attached wing and a second gable running back, all re-clad in navy lap siding. The siding runs up the steep gable field, past a small attic window and down to a rough fieldstone foundation at the rear. White casings frame each double-hung, and a white frieze separates the wall from the eave. On the side wing, a four-unit picture window band sits under one continuous white head casing. A black lantern is mounted on the corner board near the garage door.
Walls were re-clad in lap siding with new white corner boards, frieze and window casings, carried across the gable front, the lower wing and the long rear elevation. Openings were re-trimmed individually, and a wide banded casing was built above the four-unit window group. Trim was cut to die into the existing fieldstone foundation and around basement bulkhead and utility penetrations.
Details visible in the photos include steep gable end, attached garage, white window casings. Materials on the elevation: fiber-cement lap siding, white trim and corner boards, asphalt shingle roof, white double-hung windows.
Built with James Hardie, Harvey. The finish shown is Deep Ocean (closest manufacturer match). One project manager ran the job from first measurement through final walkthrough. Deliveries were staged so materials weren't sitting on the lawn for weeks.
