This door installation project in Harvard, MA was finished in March 2024. Interior views of the finished work: a bank of new white double-hung and picture windows set in stained wood casings under a vaulted ceiling, plus a black entry door with decorative leaded glass and matching sidelights.
Interior shots show a corner room where new white double-hung units sit in stained wood casings under a vaulted ceiling, and a half-lite exterior door with two raised panels hangs in a fresh white jamb beside a wood countertop. A closer frame of that door shows its factory sticker still on the glass and black hinges and hardware set. Outside, a corner of the house shows a bank of black-framed picture and casement units running around the corner of a sunroom under tan lap siding and a poured foundation. The last photo is the front entry: a black door with leaded glass and two matching sidelites, recessed in a wide white surround.
The interior views show openings trimmed out after the units were set, with the door jamb shimmed and cased and stops installed. The sunroom corner tells you the header and corner post were kept while the glazing was replaced, since the new frames sit tight under the existing eave. The front entry unit was installed as a full door-and-sidelite assembly, with a wide flat casing and a new aluminum sill pan at the threshold.
Details visible in the photos include vaulted ceiling window bank, corner window wall, matching sidelights. Materials on the elevation: white vinyl double-hung windows, stained wood window casings, black fiberglass entry door, decorative leaded glass.
Specified here: Harvey, ThermaTru. The same crew that started the project finished it. The site was cleared at the end of each working day rather than only at the end of the job.
